ST. JOHNSBURY, Vermont — One of three men charged in the killing of a Vermont grandmother wants his trial moved out of Caledonia County.

Authorities said 34-year-old Keith Baird, Michael Norrie and Richard Fletcher took part in the killing of 78-year-old Mary "Pat" O'Hagan during a botched burglary in September 2010.

Norrie and Fletcher pleaded guilty to charges and were sentenced to prison. Baird is currently facing charges of first degree murder, kidnapping and burglary.

The Caledonian Record reports ( ) Baird's attorney filed a motion for change of venue. He says media coverage of the case has been so widespread that a bias has been created, making it impossible to get a fair trial in Caledonia County.

Prosecutors say the motion should be denied because it has no proof of a media driven bias.
