TERRE HAUTE, Indiana — An Indiana man who spent more than 25 years in prison for the death of his second wife is seeking a new location for his trial on charges he killed his first wife in 1975.
The defense attorney for 62-year-old Earl Leslie Taylor argues publicity about Taylor's arrest in July has made it difficult to pick an impartial jury in Vigo County.
Taylor faces a murder charge for the Kathy Taylor's death at a Terre Haute home. The Tribune-Star reports (http://bit.ly/YLkzUe ) the 23-year-old appeared to have been electrocuted after a clock radio fell into a bathtub, but an autopsy ruled her death undetermined.
Taylor's attorney points to an episode of the TNT program "Cold Justice" as inflammatory against him.
An Oct. 21 hearing has been set on the change-of-venue request.
