OKLAHOMA CITY — The average price for a gallon of gasoline in Oklahoma now stands at $1.85 heading into the Thanksgiving holiday.

AAA Oklahoma reported Tuesday that the prices are down by 51 cents per gallon since Oct. 9 and are the lowest for the Thanksgiving holiday since 2008.

Prices in selected cities around the state range from $1.73 per gallon in Bartlesville, Muskogee and Shawnee to $1.95 per gallon in Idabel.

Motorists in Oklahoma City were paying an average of $1.81 and those in Tulsa were paying $1.75 per gallon, although AAA said some stations in both metro areas had prices just above $1.50 per gallon.
