YORK, Pennsylvania — A central Pennsylvania coroner says two brothers who died after a late-night shooting and car crash over the weekend were killed by gunshot wounds.

The York County coroner's office said Monday that 21-year-old Angel Berrios died of a gunshot wound to the chest while 19-year-old Abdiel Vazquez-Soto died of a gunshot wound to the chest and abdomen.

Officials said earlier that the two were apparently leaving the scene of a shooting late Friday night in York when their sport utility vehicle struck a telephone pole about 200 yards away. Berrios died at the scene and his brother was pronounced dead at York Hospital. A third person was hospitalized.

Both deaths were ruled homicides. Police said the motive for the shooting remains unknown and no arrests have been reported.
