VERPLANCK, New York — Authorities say a New York man was drunk when he narrowly missed several boats and crashed into a wooden sea wall on the Hudson River.
The Journal News reports (http://lohud.us/1BmSi3x ) 56-year-old Rogerio Jost was hurt when the 18-foot Stingray he was operating struck a wall near the Viking Marina in Verplanck in Westchester County on Sunday.
The Croton-on-Hudson man has been charged with boating while intoxicated, reckless operation and operating a vessel above 5 mph within 100 feet of the shoreline.
The crash crumbled the bow and trapped Jost. First responders had to cut through metal to free him.
He's due in court on June 9.
Online court records didn't list an attorney who could comment on the charges.
