RALEIGH, North Carolina — Jury selection is scheduled to begin in the trial of a man accused in the fatal stabbing of a North Carolina political strategist.

Multiple media outlets report jury selection was to start Monday in the trial of Jonathan Broyhill, who is also charged with attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.

Jamie Kirk Hahn, who was 29, and her 27-year-old husband, Nation Hahn, were stabbed at their home on April 22, 2013. Jamie Hahn died two days later and Nation Hahn was injured.

At the time, former U.S. Rep. Brad Miller says there were questionable campaign reports Broyhill made while working for his campaign through Hahn's consulting firm. Miller said he froze his campaign account after checks began to bounce.
