DENVER — A man has acknowledged leaving the scene of an accident that killed a 23-year-old Buckley Air Force Base airman.

The Denver District Attorney's Office announced Monday that 32-year-old William Pettapiece pleaded guilty Friday to vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of a fatal accident. He is scheduled to be sentenced Nov. 14.

Pettapiece was arrested shortly after the April crash that killed Michael Snyder, whose motorcycle was hit near the intersection of East Alameda Avenue and Monaco Parkway.

Snyder was a member of the 460th Space Communications Squadron.
