ANN ARBOR, Michigan — Crowds have turned out under sunny skies for the opening day of Ann Arbor for the city's annual art fairs.

Each year, hundreds of thousands of people attend the events. They include art, music and food.

The fairs opened Wednesday with sunshine and temperatures in the mid-70s. They run through Saturday.

There are four different fairs: the Ann Arbor Street Art Fair, the Ann Arbor Summer Art Fair, the State Street Area Art Fair and the South University Art Fair.

The fairs also include performance stages.

The Ann Arbor News says construction at the University of Michigan's Ingalls Mall prompted the Ann Arbor Street Art Fair's family-oriented Art Activity Zone to move to the Diag, the main pedestrian walkway through Central Campus in Ann Arbor.
