LOS ANGELES — Sheriff's officials say a man was shot and killed and two others were wounded when someone opened fire at a house party near South Los Angeles.
City News Service says deputies responding to reports of a loud party in the Westmont area discovered the shooting victims late Saturday.
Deputy Mike Barraza says a man shot in the upper torso was pronounced dead at the scene. A second man suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to a hospital. His condition was not immediately known. Barraza says a third man also suffered a gunshot wound, but refused medical treatment.
Detectives have not released a suspect description or a motive.
