MISHAWAKA, Indiana — A charity founded by Notre Dame football coach Brian Kelly and his wife has pledged $250,000 over the next five years to support a new comprehensive breast-health center started by the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Foundation.

The South Bend Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/1saGgXg ) the Brian and Paqui Kelly Comprehensive Breast Center will be housed on the first floor of Saint Joseph's medical office building in Mishawaka. Saint Joseph is planning a $2 million renovation that will add 1,000 square feet of space and about $2 million in new technology.

Kelly Cares originally partnered with Saint Joseph on its mobile mammography unit, which travels around the community offering free services to women and men who are uninsured or underinsured.

Paqui Kelly has twice been treated successfully for breast cancer
