BOSTON — Three people are being questioned in connection with a fatal shooting on a Boston street.
Police say a 20-year-old man was killed on the street in the city's Roxbury neighborhood at about 1:40 p.m. Wednesday.
Based on witness accounts, three men seen driving from the area were tracked to a nearby apartment and after a brief standoff came out to be questioned. Investigators have also recovered a gun.
Commissioner William Evans said the men had not been charged as of Wednesday night.
No names were released.
Evans said he was disturbed by the nature of the brazen daylight shooting, the city's 48th homicide of the year, because of the possibility that innocent bystanders could get injured.
