EASTON, Pennsylvania — Dan Trist missed his first free throw with the game tied and 0.4 seconds left but made the second and Lafayette beat Sacred Heart 82-81 on Monday night.

Joey Ptasinski forced a 3 for Lafayette (6-2) with time running down but missed. Trist grabbed the rebound and Sacred Heart (4-4) fouled him on the putback with no time left.

The referees conferred and put 0.4 seconds back on the clock before Trist's free throws which gave Steve Glowiak enough time to rim out a 75-foot heave at the buzzer.

Trist led the Leopards with 20 points, Ptasinski and Seth Hinrichs added 14, Matt Klinewski scored 11 and Bryce Scott 10. Nick Lindner chipped in with 12 assists.

De'von Barnett had 18 points and 11 rebound for the Pioneers who shot 52.5 percent from the field. Evan Kelley and Cane Broome added 14 points each and Jordan Allen scored 12.
