TOKYO — Takashi Usami set up a goal and scored another on Sunday as treble winners Gamba Osaka beat Ventforet Kofu 2-0 in the J-League.

Usami, who was named to the national team on Thursday, set up Hiroyki Abe's 17th-minute strike then doubled the advantage just two minutes later to give Gamba its first win of the season.

Elsewhere, Shingo Hyodo scored on a right-footed drive nine minutes from time as Yokohama F Marinos beat Sagan Tosu 1-0.

Two-time champions Sanfrecce Hiroshima and Urawa Reds, who top the table with seven points, played to a goalless draw.

Brazilian Rafael Silva scored the winner as Albirex Niigata beat Kashiwa Reysol 3-2 while Shonan Bellmare was held to a goalless draw by Vegalta Sendai.

Masaki Iida scored as Matsumoto Yamagata beat Shimizu S-Pulse 1-0.

Yoshinori Muto scored in the 67th minute to seal a 2-0 win for FC Tokyo over Vissel Kobe. Kashima Antlers drew 1-1 away to Nagoya Grampus and Kim Byeom-yong netted the winner to give promoted Montedio Yamagata a 1-0 win over Kawasaki Frontale.
