LAS VEGAS — The Las Vegas Bowl will stick with the Saturday-before-Christmas schedule established in 2012.

ESPN Events announced Monday that the 24th Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl will be played at 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 19 at Sam Boyd Stadium and will be televised on ABC.

The game matches the top choice from the Mountain West Conference or BYU against the sixth pick from the Pac-12.

Last year, No. 22 Utah defeated Colorado State 45-10 before 33,067 fans.

The game is one of 13 FBS bowls owned and operated by ESPN Events, a subsidiary of ESPN.
