JACKSON, Mississippi — New documents show that Reform Party and Libertarian candidates are running for several statewide and legislative offices in Mississippi this year.
Candidates' qualifying deadline was Friday, but smaller parties had until late Monday to submit lists of candidates to the secretary of state's office.
The Reform Party candidate for governor is Shawn O'Hara of Hattiesburg. He has run unsuccessfully for a long list of local, state and federal offices the past 25 years.
Rosa A. Williams of Hattiesburg is the Reform Party candidate for lieutenant governor. Information about her background was not immediately available.
There's no Libertarian candidate for governor, but Ron Williams of Pascagoula is the party's candidate for lieutenant governor. Williams ran as a Republican for governor in 2011 and as a Libertarian candidate for Congress in 2012.
