FREMONT, Michigan — A large fire has heavily damaged a motorsports business in western Michigan.

The Muskegon Chronicle reports ( ) crews responded Wednesday evening to a report of smoke at David Allen Racing Motorsports in Fremont, about 40 miles northwest of Grand Rapids.

No injuries are reported. The cause is under investigation Thursday.

Fremont Fire Chief Brian Hettinger says it took a few hours to get the fire under control. He says about three-quarters of the building was damaged.

About 12 departments responded to the blaze, bringing in tankers, aerial trucks and an excavator to clear a path to the fire.
