EVANSVILLE, Indiana — Police say a van struck an Evansville city bus, injuring 10 people.

A police report says the bus was passing through an intersection Saturday afternoon when the van ran a red light and struck the bus in the side.

Both vehicles sustained heavy damage.

The van's driver and nine people on the bus were injured. Police say the van driver and three bus passengers were taken to a hospital, but none of their injuries appear to be life-threatening.

Police don't believe alcohol was involved with the accident.
