BILOXI, Mississippi — Harrison County authorities say the body of a 63-year-old homeless man has been found in the Mississippi Sound.
Coroner Gary Hargrove says police recovered the body Monday night after receiving a call of a possible drowning.
Hargrove tells The Sun Herald (http://bit.ly/14aisNd ) Biloxi police got a call at 6:01 p.m. from a man who said his friend had disappeared in the water near Oak Street and Highway 90.
He says police and officers from the Department of Marine Resources responded and began a search at 6:33 p.m., and a DMR officer found the body a short time later.
Hargrove said the man's identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
