MEAD, Oklahoma — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a 19-month-old child has died of injuries after being struck by an all-terrain vehicle in southern Oklahoma.

An OHP report says the child from Mead died at a Dallas hospital following the accident about 6 p.m. Friday. The child's name was not released.

The report says a man was starting the ATV that had been left in gear when the vehicle jumped forward and pinned the child between the ATV and a parked vehicle.
