CAMDEN, New Jersey — A Camden man has pleaded guilty to a felony murder charge stemming from a botched street robbery that left a man dead last year.

Thirty-year-old Alexander Santiago entered his plea Friday as part of a deal with Camden County prosecutors. In return, they will recommend that he receive a 30-year prison term — with no chance for parole— when he's sentenced Oct. 31.

Santiago admitted that he was trying to rob 46-year-old Camden resident William Ahing when he stabbed him multiple times in January 2012. The attack occurred on the 500 block of State Street.
