BOILING SPRINGS, North Carolina — Darrell Bridges rushed 24 times for 135 yards and a fourth-quarter touchdown, DaRon Dickey blocked a field-goal attempt and Ed Britt returned it 80 yards for another score, and Presbyterian beat Gardner-Webb 14-7 on Saturday.

Demarcus Rouse added 42 more yards on the ground for the Blue Hose (6-5, 3-2 Big South), who outrushed Gardner-Webb 181-37.

Heys McMath threw for 104 yards and two interceptions, two of the four turnovers committed by Presbyterian.

Gardner-Webb (4-7, 0-4) had an opportunity to tie the game in the final 2 minutes, but Lucas Beatty's pass was intercepted by Cory White at the 4-yard line.

Beatty finished 15 for 29 with 166 yards and one touchdown in addition to the fourth-quarter pick. Kenny Cook caught five balls for 24 yards and a touchdown for the Runnin' Bulldogs.
