Teenager charged in fatal Macon shooting, to be charged as adult

MACON, Georgia — Police have accused a teenager of fatally shooting a 20-year-old man in Macon.

Bibb County Sheriff's Lt. Sean Defoe said the shooting happened late Friday afternoon.

The victim, Kemani Ridgeway, and his girlfriend pulled up to a vacant building to speak with three people. Defoe said one of those people shot Ridgeway in the chest. He died at a hospital.

WMAZ-TV (http://on.wmaz.com/1x9h835 ) reports the 16-year-old suspect was taken to a youth detention center and charged with murder. The Associated Press is not identifying the suspect because of his age.
