RALEIGH, North Carolina — A trial date has been set for the man accused in an attack on two North Carolina Democratic strategists.

Local media outlets reported Thursday that Jonathan Wayne Broyhill's trial is scheduled to begin Dec. 1.

Broyhill is charged with first-degree murder in the April 2013 stabbing death of 29-year-old Jamie Hahn. He is also charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury after attacking Nation Hahn in the couple's Raleigh home.

Authorities say the 32-year-old Broyhill killed Jamie Hahn after she allegedly confronted him about money missing from a congressional campaign. Authorities have previously released details of a search warrant in which they say Broyhill admitted to his involvement in the case.
