NEW YORK — Police have arrested a Long Island man who authorities say left his three-year-old daughter behind at a Harlem sandwich shop.
Stanley Fredrique of Elmont faces charges including child abandonment and reckless endangerment.
Authorities say the girl, named Natalie, was brought into the shop around 11:30 p.m. Saturday by her father. The man bought the child a sandwich and left.
A worker at the store saw the child and took her to police. She was taken to the hospital, and then released to the custody of child services.
No telephone number for Fredrique could immediately be found.
