WASHINGTON — Water has been turned off for several apartment buildings in the Adams Morgan neighborhood after a water main break in northwest Washington that iced over part of a road.

A spokeswoman for the D.C. Water and Sewer Authority says the water main was turned off about 7 a.m. Saturday. Repairs are expected to be completed by about 5 p.m.

The water main break caused part of Harvard Street to be covered with ice Saturday morning. Crews were salting the roadway. D.C. Water says the break is believed to be weather related.
