2 men wounded by gunfire in Atlanta; police looking into possibility that men shot each other

ATLANTA — Atlanta police are investigating gunfire on the city's southwest side that left two men wounded.

Atlanta police said they received a call late Monday night reporting that a person had been shot on Beryl Street. When officers arrived, they found a man shot multiple times.

Police say he was taken to a hospital and is listed in critical condition.

Investigators say that a few seconds later, they got a second call of another shooting victim nearby.

Police found that person at house on Hobson Street. The victim suffered gunshot wounds to his stomach and leg. Authorities say he is expected to survive.

WSB-TV (http://bit.ly/1GLyxX3) reports that investigators are looking into the possibility that the two men were in a shootout and might have shot each other.
