BOWDOIN, Maine — Police in Maine say a 25-year-old man was killed in a single-car crash in Bowdoin.

The Portland Press Herald reports ( ) that Adam Moore of Bowdoin was driving a Dodge pick-up truck on Maine Street near Pond Road at about 5 a.m. Saturday when his truck left the road and struck a tree.

Sagadahoc County Deputy Sheriff Brett Strout says Moore was pronounced dead at the scene.

Strout says speed appears to have been a factor in the accident. The investigation is ongoing.
