BLUE EYE, Missouri — The National Weather Service confirms a pair of weak tornadoes touched down in southwest Missouri, but only minor damage was reported.

Survey teams confirmed an EF-1 tornado with winds of 90 mph hit Stone County north of Blue Eye just before 6:30 a.m. Monday. The twister stayed on the ground briefly, damaging outbuildings and trees.

In Lawrence County, an EF-0 tornado caused roof damage to a house and heavy damage to an outbuilding just before 7 a.m. Monday. The Weather Service said the tornado had estimated winds of 75 mph and a path of 50 yards wide.

Powerful thunderstorms packing high wind struck southeast Missouri later Monday. Law enforcement in Bollinger (BAH'-lihn-gur) County reported trees and power lines down near Greenbrier and Zalma.
