CHEYENNE, Wyoming — Police have arrested a man they say robbed a credit union in Cheyenne last month.

Cheyenne police officials said Friday they arrested 46-year-old Robert Romero Jr. earlier in the week. He is accused of robbing the Unified People's Federal Credit Union on Aug. 28.

Police spokesman Dan Long says the robber told a teller he knew where she lived and wrote her name on a piece of paper when he demanded money.

The Wyoming Tribune Eagle reports (http://bit.ly/1lHUsIu ) it is unclear how much money was taken or whether any of it had been recovered.

Long says Romero is a transient detectives identified through witnesses.

He is in custody at the Laramie County jail.
