BEAVER, Pennsylvania — A 63-year-old man convicted nearly 20 years ago of molesting three children in western Pennsylvania has been ordered to undergo a state evaluation to determine if he should be deemed a sexually violent predator.

The Beaver County Times reports (http://bit.ly/1LqZvXN) Lynn Cozart appeared before Judge John McBride Thursday and is scheduled to be sentenced Oct. 28.

Cozart faces at least 15 years in prison after he was convicted in 1996 with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, indecent assault and endangering the welfare of children. He was not taken to jail following his conviction and subsequently fled the county before he could be sentenced.

Police say Cozart had been working at a Wal-Mart in Muskogee, Oklahoma for about 12 years when he was arrested by police on June 18.
