City of Greenville putting on free event for document shredding, electronics recycling

GREENVILLE, South Carolina — The city of Greenville is offering people a free way to shred sensitive documents and dispose of unwanted electronics.

WYFF-TV reports ( ) that the event is taking place on Saturday at TD Convention Center.

Organizers say all paper that is to be shredded must be bagged or boxed, and each person is limited to three large trash bags or three small boxes of paper.

People can drop off items including televisions, keyboards, scanners and printers during the free event. Fluorescent bulbs are not accepted.

Harvest Hope Food Bank will also be on site accepting canned goods and donations.
