MILWAUKEE — A fatal shooting in an alley has brought Milwaukee's homicide total to 100 this year.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports ( ) a group of three to five men approached a 35-year-old Milwaukee man in a south side alley at about 7 p.m. Friday.

Milwaukee police say one of the suspects shot the victim after a short argument and he died on scene. Police said the suspects fled in an older white SUV-style vehicle with a partial plate of 737.

Last year at this time, 86 people had died due to homicides.
