BIMSARCK, North Dakota — Bismarck police are investigating a break-in at a gas station near the state Capitol.

The Bismarck Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/1vY8hax) the crime was discovered by a newspaper carrier early Thursday morning at the Arrowhead Tesoro.

Police Sgt. Mark Buschena says one of the store windows had been broken. He says police discovered that the store safe had been opened and cash and checks removed.

Buschena did not specify the amount stolen. He says police use that information in their investigation.
