GULFPORT, Mississippi — One water quality advisory lifted, one still in effect in Gulfport
The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality said in a news release Tuesday that one beach water-contact advisory has been lifted in Gulfport but one remains.
The MDEQ says an advisory is still in effect from 20th Avenue to Thornton Avenue.
The advisory for Courthouse Road to Tegarden Road was lifted.
The advisory means water samples in the area showed unacceptable bacteria levels and that going into the water is not recommended.
