SPRINGFIELD, New Jersey — A police standoff in northern New Jersey has ended peacefully with the arrest of a man who had barricaded himself at the Villa Apartment complex in Springfield.
Authorities say 39-year-old Norwood Hill of New Providence was wanted over the weekend on charges of simple assault and making terroristic threats stemming from a domestic violence complaint.
NJ.com (http://bit.ly/13lP31d ) reports acting Union County Prosecutor Grace Park says Hill barricaded himself in his common law wife's apartment after an argument on Friday. She fled and a neighbor called police.
The Union County Emergency Response SWAT Team and Springfield police took Hill into custody.
