BALTIMORE — A toddler has been killed in a fire in a Baltimore house fire, while fire officials say constructions workers rescued his two young siblings and his father.
Baltimore fire officials say a 2-year-old was killed in the Tuesday afternoon fire in west Baltimore. Fire officials say his father is in critical condition and that the other two children are in serious condition. The other two children are about 3 and 4 years old.
Baltimore fire Capt. Roman Clark called the two construction workers who pulled them from the blaze heroes, saying they raced into the burning home to save the family.
Witnesses say the children's father emerged from the home badly burned and begging for help for the children.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
