EUGENE, Oregon — The stepmother of an Oregon boy who vanished four years ago has gone to court again to change her name.

Terri Moulton Horman made a similar request in August, saying she wanted to start a new life and avoid the stigma attached to the disappearance of Kyron Horman. The 7-year-old went missing in June 2010 after she dropped him off at his Portland school. An intense search came up empty.

Investigators have focused on Horman, but she hasn't been charged.

She asked a Lane County judge last week to change her name to Claire Kisiel. The Register-Guard reports (http://bit.ly/1ybcu5Z ) the request will be considered Dec. 11.

It comes months after a Douglas County judge denied her a name change, saying he didn't think it was in the public interest.
