BALTIMORE — A Baltimore man has been arrested in the near-fatal stabbing of an acquaintance and the sexual assault of the victim's girlfriend.

Anne Arundel County Police said Monday that 45-year-old Christopher Hutchinson was with a 31-year-old man and his girlfriend in a vacant home in Brooklyn Park early Sunday morning when the attack happened.

Police say Hutchinson stabbed the 31-year-old multiple times in the upper body and then sexually assaulted his girlfriend by forcing her to perform a lewd act. The 31-year-old is in critical but stable condition at a hospital.

Police say they tracked Hutchinson down to his Baltimore home and arrested him on charges of attempted murder, armed robbery, assault, sex assault, false imprisonment and reckless endangerment. No attorney is listed for Hutchinson in court records.
