SPOKANE, Washington — A Washington State University student was taken to the hospital in critical condition after falling from a third-floor fire escape of a fraternity house Saturday night.
The Spokesman-Review newspaper reports (http://is.gd/eTnqgJ ) Pullman police were called to the Sigma Phi Epsilon house just after 10 p.m. and found a 20-year-old man who had fallen to the ground and suffered an obvious head injury.
The student was taken to Pullman Regional Hospital in critical condition, then transported to a hospital in Spokane.
Police spokesman Cmdr. Chris Tennant said they are not releasing the student's name because there is no criminal investigation, but said he was from Poulsbo, Washington. He did not have an update on the student's condition.
Tennant said alcohol was involved in the incident.
