CLYDE, Ohio — Investigators in northwestern Ohio say a woman found dead in the trunk of her car had been severely beaten and shot twice.
The Sandusky County Sheriff's office says the body of 28-year-old Heather Bogle was found Friday night at an apartment complex in Clyde.
Chief Deputy Bruce Hirt says an autopsy completed on Saturday showed that Bogle died of two gunshot wounds and blunt force trauma throughout her body.
She was last seen leaving work early Thursday morning and was reported missing after she didn't pick up her daughter at school that day.
One resident of the apartment complex where the woman's body was found says she saw people in the victim's car Thursday night. She told The Blade newspaper that no one was around the car the next morning.
