CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Cedar Rapids police on Friday arrested a man on suspicion of shooting into a vehicle with two people inside.

Brandon Don Gordon, 18, of Marion, faces several charges including attempted murder and two counts of going armed with intent. Court records do not list an attorney.

Gordon is accused of firing multiple shots into a vehicle outside a gas station. Kirsten Lee Meyer, 18, of Cedar Rapids, was shot at least once and was taken to a local hospital. Additional information about her condition is not available.

A second person in the car was not injured.

Gordon was driving a vehicle at the time of the shooting, according to police. He was located on foot a short time later and arrested. The case remains under investigation.
