    HOUSTON — Terry Harris and Marcel Smith combined for 26 points to lead Houston Baptist to a dominating 88-44 victory over Dallas Christian on Saturday night.

    Harris, who had 14 points, made 3 of 5 from long range. Colter Lasher contributed 11 points and Josh Ibarra had six blocked shots and seven rebounds for Houston Baptist (2-2). The Huskies finished with 15 blocks.

    Houston Baptist sprinted to a 26-8 lead midway of the first half and led 49-22 at the break. They pushed the lead to 64-30 with 9:28 remaining.

    Houston Baptist pulled down 48 rebounds compared to 33 for the Crusaders. The Huskies made 36 of 61 field goal attempts (59 while limiting Dallas Christian to 14 of 60 (23.3%).

    The Huskies outscored Dallas Christian 46-16 in the paint.

    Derek Hearns led the Crusaders with 10 points.
