LOUISVILLE, Kentucky — Weather forecasters say a winter storm could dump up to a foot of snow in parts of Kentucky.
The National Weather Service says a winter storm warning is in effect across Kentucky. Meteorologist Rick Lasher says the snow is expected to start falling Sunday evening in western Kentucky and spread eastward after midnight and continue through Monday.
Lasher says a broad stretch of central Kentucky including Elizabethtown, Louisville and Lexington could receive 8-12 inches. He says 10 to 15 inches are possible in Richmond, Danville, Campbellsville and Bowling Green.
Portions of western Kentucky could receive 8-12 inches and 8-10 inches are possible in eastern Kentucky.
