Polk County Sheriff's deputies say 23-year-old Christopher Bowmer and 25-year-old Johnathan Walker were riding with a group of motorcyclists Sunday evening when they decided to stop for a break near State Road 60 in Mulberry.

The two men and several others decided to keep riding in the area. The Ledger of Lakeland ( ) reports Bowmer made a U-turn in front of Walker. Walker's Suzuki bike collided with Bowmer's Kawaski motorcycle, which disintegrated on impact.
