POCATELLO, Idaho — Mikh McKinney scored 24 points and added five assists to lead Sacramento State to a 62-59 victory over Idaho State on Thursday night.

Sacramento State would lead by as many as 12 in the second half, but a Chris Hansen 3-pointer put Idaho State up one, 59-58, with just 33 seconds left in the game.

However four straight free throws in the final 20 seconds, two by Zach Mills and two by Trevis Jackson, put the Hornets back in front for good.

Eric Stuteville added 11 points on an efficient 5-of-7 shooting from the field for the Hornets (12-6, 5-1 Big Sky), who have won seven of their last eight games, four of which have come by five points or less.

Jeffrey Solarin scored 16 points to lead Idaho State (4-15, 1-6), which has lost four straight and 10 out of 11.
