BAY ST. LOUIS, Mississippi — Bay St. Louis police have released details of an investigation and arrest of two people on charges of conspiring to receive mailed packages of the synthetic drug Spice.

On May 21, officers arrested 65-year-old Susan Terese Boes and 48-year-old Jerry Joseph Harris.

Chief Mike De Nardo said Tuesday his department investigated for several months, tracking shipments of Spice to a home on Chapman Road.

Nardo tells The Sun Herald (http://bit.ly/1Gk121J) Boes and Harris used the home to receive several shipments through the U.S. Post Office of the synthetic drug, which has been blamed for a number of recent hospitalizations and deaths in Mississippi.

Boes and Harris were each released from the Hancock County jail after posting $5,000 bonds.

Online jail records do not list attorneys for Boes or Harris.
