BORGER, Texas — A house fire in the Texas Panhandle has left four people dead.

Hutchinson County emergency management officials say the fire happened before dawn Thursday in Borger.

Authorities are trying to determine what sparked the deadly blaze.

Names of the victims haven't been released. Further details on them weren't immediately available.

The National Weather Service reports temperatures were in the upper 30s at the time of the fire in Borger, about 40 miles northeast of Amarillo.
