TUNNELTON, West Virginia — An early 20th century pedestrian bridge in Tunnelton is coming down.

The bridge spanning CSX tracks is scheduled to be demolished on Tuesday. CSX says the bridge was erected in 1912.

Tom Mercer with Orders Construction tells The Dominion Post (http://bit.ly/1uxXdhU ) that a crew will remove the top part of the bridge after Mon Power cuts power to lines stretching along the span. Then the bridge's steps and concrete piers will be demolished.

Eighty-two-year-old Virgie McGill tells the newspaper that she will miss the bridge. She says it's a big part of Tunnelton.
