ANCHORAGE, Alaska — An Anchorage man who reported his wife was missing has been charged with murder in the disappearance.

Anchorage police say 33-year-old Thomas Skeek Jr. was arrested Wednesday. They are revealing few other details in the case.

Skeek called police Jan. 4 to report 32-year-old Linda Skeek was missing.

He told investigators that he had gotten into an argument with Linda Skeek on Jan. 1 and that she had left on foot. He told police he had not seen his wife since New Year's Day.

Police on Wednesday used a warrant to search the Skeek's home and a vehicle.

Thomas Skeek afterward was charged with first-degree murder, second-degree murder and evidence tampering.
