ELIZABETH, New Jersey — Two people were killed when a fast-moving fire roared through a northern New Jersey home.

Authorities say the fire at the 2 ½-story home on Fairmount Avenue in Elizabeth broke out around 6 p.m. Sunday. Dozens of firefighters fought the fire, which severely damaged the home.

Investigators say it's not yet known what caused the fire.

The names of the people killed have not yet been released.
